1. A business may nominate itself. 
  2. Nominees must have had a tangible business since January 2021. 
  3. Nominees must be able to demonstrate financial stability and may be asked to provide an account in good standing report from their financial institution. The exceptions are nominees for the Non-Profit and People's Choice Awards. 
  4. The nominee must be a member of the Richmond Hill Board of Trade.
  5. Nominees cannot have won an RHBOT Business Achievement Award within the past three years. 
  6. The competition is not open to the Judges or their employers, or to members of the Award Organizing Committee or their employers. If the employer of a member of the Board of Directors is nominated, the Board member will recuse themselves from any discussion and/or vote on the recommendations of the Award Organizing Committee. 

Notes

  1. At the discretion of the judging committee, awards may be withheld in any category. 
  2. More than one award may be given out in any category. 
  3. Businesses may be nominated for more than one category. The Judges have discretion to determine the category under which the business will be judged. 
  4. Additional awards may be presented that are not listed in the categories above.
